Reportedly built by the Gond kings 2000 years ago, Bandhavgarh Fort is seeped in history. Out of the 12 ponds, only a few remain. Presently, due to restrictions from the Madhya Pradesh forest department, tourists can only visit the large Vishnu statue at the base of the fort.
